Ecoflow river 2
Re: Ecoflow river 2
With those power generators, can they be run down to zero or almost zero power? Or are they like leisure batteries that you shouldn't let drop below 50%?

Almost zero they don't suffer like leisure batteries they do have a BMS (battery management system) which prevents over discharge...
Added advantage of lithium iron phosphate is the rapid recharge and less fire risk over lithium ion cells.....

Thank you very much Yorkshire Andy, at least this forum has at least 1 decent mod that is willing to give a helpful answer.
Shame really, I was hoping to have some decent conversations with like minded people. Nevermind

We do try but remember people have other battles outside the forum be it life getting in the way / employment/ health issues/ general day to day issues .. spent 3 hours baking on a leaky shed roof today at 30°C with a big Bulfinch gas burner applying torch on cap sheet we are first and foremost a prepping forum not a place to re hash the daily wail and people tend to get the hump on when reminded of the rules
Edit just seen the other thread the 10 posts before freedom keeps the riffraff in check from the spam bots to those intent on causing grief some of the ai spam bots are getting clever but 10 posts checked by the human eye usually catches them before we get flooded with adverts for Viagra/ online explicit sites / gambling sites / media types fishing for the latest headline to make preppers look like fruit loops
It's been fairly quiet over summer but most of us are busy making the most of the good weather whilst it lasts 8am chickens got mucked out greenhouse watered, 10 am took lad to the bus stop for uni 11am till 1pm was re roofing leaky shed 2pm pub 4pm kids beds stripped and washed plus lads carpet wet vacced as the student lifestyle included booze kababs and sickness 5pm wife home and dinner finally got the kids bathed and bedded down and collapsed on the sofa whilst the wife is sat grumbling about online work Training
I'm very happy with the ecoflow river 2 ok it's not going to boil a kettle but rota cuts which are imo the biggest disruption we are likely to face over winter the fast 1 HR from flat recharge and the ability to run the smart TV for 5 hours and run a few usb lights to keep the kids entertained is priceless ... Run it down to about 50% and in about 2 hours the car had topped it up driving out and about whilst camping it was showing just shy of 9 hours run time for the Avtex on 12v

What a way to ingratiate yourself to a Forum by slagging off the Moderators.
If YOU had read the site rules, the 10 post moderation would of been apparent.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
Re: Ecoflow river 2
I didn't read the site rules, no. I've been a member of many forums over the years. Usually 2 or 3 posts, and you're good to go. When I inquired about this, a mod popped up and said I needed 10 posts on the main forum to be free. So my posts on the introduction part of the forum didn't even count. The bit that annoyed me was, I was getting frustrated because I wanted to engage in a conversation, and it was being made difficult as my posts wasn't even being put up until the mods agreed to it. Then, to make matters worse, the moderator in question ended his post with a laughing emoji. Thats what annoyed me. I wasn't trolling, I didn't offend anyone (I hope) and I was just trying to join in.

Ha ha I use a lot of laughing, it’s better than not laughing!

Don't worry it happens all the time
Other options for power are stand alone batteries and inverters giving more user maintenance friendly option
