Importing medical kits and tourniquets?

I want to import a few RATS tourniquets from Israel and JFAK from the USA. Are there restrictions on purchasing them from abroad as they are used by military ? Thanks

I don’t know about medical kit,I’m not a doctor,but right now with my illness I know about tourniquets! The ones used on me are just rubber straps with a knot into a hole,and trust me they work. Cheap as chips.

You ever had a tourniquet on your arm? Trust me,you don’t need any posh stuff to have your blood stopped. Today I have yet more blood tests,more chemotherapy and all it needs is the basic strength because it stops blood,and would stop a slashed arm too!

The blood stopping tourniquet doesn’t do it - it stops the flow completely, therefore it is much stronger.
I still wonder if I can import them legally without any permits or licences?

Get Training, training trumps gear..... The most important thing is to insure that anything you do doesn't make it worse.

Covered in the newer catastrophic bleeding section. There used to be a +f add on to training for Forestry (chainsaws etc) now falls under the catastrophic bleeding name ..

You don't need a tourniquet you can improvise using a triangle bandage and a DIY windlass eg a butter knife / spanner / stout bit of wood but the real McCoy makes life easy . That said only to be used if packing / pressure dressing isn't possible or multiple injuries where bloods pissing everywhere and it needs to be immediately controlled ..

I've had stuff in eBay that's come via Israel without realising before with no issues. But plenty of UK suppliers
There was a lot of fake tourniquets on the market a few years back so that In mind a decent seller like sp services or similar would be my first go to

As for rats

The American College of Surgeons currently does not recommend “narrow, bungee, or elastic devices”. Testing data showed the RATS allowed greater blood loss and took longer to apply than the Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT). Other devices like the SWAT-T are also not recommended
