You'll end up becoming the Vietcong
One thing that lets those light switches down is the magnets on the back get some sticky velcro. One of ours died when it jumped off the microwave and hit the tiled floor
You'll end up becoming the Vietcong
It really is and at the museums, a lot of leather goods are preserved from Roman times, because the soil is anaerobic, so you can see shoe designs, what they made letters from before they had paper, how armour was held together, all sorts of things. Though I will *never* recommend Roman toilets, or their version of toilet paper
Hope you had a great birthday, GeeGee - I'd really like my house to look like I was expecting an estate agent. Tidy and clean ... too much to ask from me, as I'm so slovenlyGeeGee wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 3:33 pm Been and got extra keys cut for the estate agent cleared out all the clutter .. To be fair, I agree with you Lil, their water management was second to none - fresh water distributed throughout the forts and settlements, and as you say, used over and over, for applications that gradually got greyer. And yes, GeeGee, I've heard of that Japanese toilet recently: wonderful stuff
Arzosah wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 9:17 pm hey, a block booking sounds great - maybe you'll even get into a situation where people are putting in closed bids and fighting one another to get your place! Here's hoping it goes really well, whatever happens. And Direct Funerals and Saga can toddle off you can see all these firms sell their addresses list to one another, it really is iffy.
The only prepping I'm doing right now is getting back into going on my council-run walk, even nodding acquaintanceship is better than nothing. And sorting stuff from the little holiday - it has to be clean, and to get stuff back in place it has to be dry. Washing the last of the clothes tomorrow, and then the fabric bags, so to make sure, I won't be repacking everything till next week.
This month's projects are:
- getting the driving going again, I have a hobby meeting at the end of next week that I'd really like to drive to myself.
- weeding the whole garden. This is difficult, I didn't go out at all today because there was a fox asleep opposite my kitchen window the whole time
- reset the hospital bag, the bugout bag, and the EDC.
- for research: solar energy. I have a single 100W panel, with two powerbanks that could be charged with it, and that's that. Must do better.
Andy, those little usb powered lights, both models, are really good, I like those. And as you say, cheap as chips.Yorkshire Andy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 9:33 pmOn the power bank front...
These make any power bank (unless the socket has a silly deep recess) a little area light

And they are cheap as chips... Also useable in any usb charger to provide a night light..

Battery charging as in aa or AAA. Bit more money but not really cheap crap that doesn't do much
