What Preps are you doing this week? Part 12
Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 12
Did a tidy/declutter/clean in the prep room. Pulled out the drawers, rack and clothes rail (which has a fake wood base) and cleaned underneath. Still got a bit to do, but I've made a good start. I need to get some containers to go on the rack, just been having a look, think I've found some that will do.

Giving the Ecoflow and assorted "packs" a discharge / recharge cycle. Nice and sunny at the moment so can recharge off of solar.

I've spent a couple of hours this weekend working on the EDC for the car, including a better first aid kit, and more clothes than I've had in there previously, as well as an old pure wool blanket. The other part of my prep work this weekend has been to re-pack my airing cupboard, emptied out when my central heating broke down, and never refilled. Things are a lot more settled looking on the first floor as a result a lot more useful if a sudden emergency arose.

Thanks for the reminder Andy, that’s my today job, and change the rear wiper blade.Yorkshire Andy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 10:44 am It's a touch above freezing here at last odd drops if water coming off thr house and the car windows are just about thawed out .... so both cars have just had a human equivalent of a strip wash .. just lights/ reflectors number plates and windows given a wash and rinse used less than half a bucket of soapy water and 6l watering can to do both cars .... topped up screen wash and checked levels... ready for another week

Driving practice, after a fortnight off because of the weather - had my first pedestrian trying to throw himself under my wheels. Successfully avoided.

Swear some do it on purpose to provoke a reaction they'll do it one day and a poor driver won't be on the ball for whatever reason
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong

Well that's my Christmas money from the parents spent
Some upgrade over the little 20 year old 3kg white knight ...
Now to figure out what all the buttons do and why on earth does everything come with an app
Could class it as a prep clean dry clothes are always good being a heat pump it's energy efficient 900w vs the 2200w. Meaning it's the potential to run off solar / power station

It's so your Smart meter can stop it when you've used the state mandated power for the dayYorkshire Andy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 8:43 pm Snip> and why on earth does everything come with an app
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

My prep for washing clothes if the grid is down is a spare washing up bowl. I sometimes use it to hand was a cycling top. Also came in handy when the roof leaked. I have about 4 in total. First aid stuff is kept in one.
Ordered 6 x 140g Azera coffee. £48 RRP, got it for £31. I only buy it if it's reduced a lot. It is on subscribe and save, so I need to keep an eye on it as it could be about £43 next time, too much. It was reduced to £34.50 before the sub and save 10%.
