Ah, I'm still working up to my first 50ozt ATM..... Gold is currently far out of my reach.
Nice. I wouldn't worry, there is always someone who has a bigger stack. You do you.

Gave the front garden a makeover. Next door gave me some weed membrane, so I banged that down and covered it in bark. Tweaked my back, lifting a bag of gravel that's sat there for months. I should shift it, but can't now. I will put some around the Acer anyway, to reduce evaporation.

So far it has one plant, the Acer tree. I went the full monte and binge ordered £106 of plants, which is eight, plus a tenner delivery. Also a terracotta pot from B&Q for £30 including delivery. Price of large pots is ridiculous, I nearly ordered one from somewhere else for about £40, but they added £60 delivery! Some I saw were over a hundred quid. The plants are all Japanese themed, but a proper Japanese garden would have them all in the ground. My Acer and bamboo are staying in pots, and probably most of the others. I got two types of bamboo (not too tall growing hopefully), a fern, two small bamboos, a dwarf rhodedendron and a bush called a Skimmia. Plus a small spiky grass. It's only a tiny garden so that should do.

Put up a new smoke alarm in one lodger's room.

Tested some paint on the back door to touch up where it's cracking as the door expands. Cos I gave away the tin and he chucked it. Think it's a match.

Got a date for new carpet. Can get more organised when that's in. Lot of junk was stored on the landing, plus some prep stuff like spare rucksacks, spare tent, sleeping bag, camping plates and mugs.

Finally decided to dip my toes on the silver Market. I've been watching it for a while now but not had the courage to hit buy. However noticed that with Trumps announcement that the silver price was dropping.

Bought myself the britannia set as a birthday treat at 25.50 oz yesterday afternoon its now 23.10oz.

I'm trying to not get 'Stack Envy' :D

Stacks are like preps. Yours is different to mine because you are not me, what suits one person is unlikely to suit another...... That doesn't mean I'm not interested in your reasoning though. Who knows, you might of thought of something that I should of.

Im not worried, I still feel like a got a bargin. And it was a birthday present to myself. I plan to get myself a set a year (as long as its affordable) for as long as I can. Just thinking that I might get some more soonish while it's cheap. I've got 20-30 years till retirement so could end up with a nice little stash :D

Got my stairs and landing carpet fitted. Looks great. It's called Deep Sea, and is narrow stripes of blue, brown, grey, black, white. Stairs fitted as a runner.

Got the wardrobe back on the landing and fitted the door. Put a fire escape ladder in it, and a spare electric radiator. Also three rucksacks. A few clothes I need to get rid of. There's still quite a bit of stuff that was on the landing in the prep room. I'm gonna take trainers I never wear to Oxfam. Got a delivery on Monday, cleaners Wednesday. Need to find out when my plants are coming, and when my gardener is. Will get my tax done to get it out of the way. Then I'm all done, and can think about going out on my bike.

Ditto Andy! Winter tyres now all swapped for summer tyres and guy said winters will do another winter (bonus!). New hens happily foraging around in their area of the garden and then I learn today that there has been a case of bird flu in Cumbria so they will have to be housed from tomorrow.
Thankfully I semi-predicted this so have a set-up that follows regulations. Planned power cut today (reasonably frequent here) 10-3ish so good little practice for the real thing - mostly just went outside as it’s bloody gorgeous! :D
