Well, that's my bins lashed down in readiness.
We're in the NE of scotland so only a yellow warning here (70mph winds), it's an amber warning for the west of Scotland.

It looks like an absolute onslaught :( stay safe, all. I'm going to be having a bit of rain, and that's it, it's just a bit gloomy.

Damn : Damn : Damn

The storm has blown my four solar panels and their carrier frame off the garage roof. Looks like they're a total right off.

Cheers. Oh hum. It's an opportunity, I guess.

The existing ones were 18V about 150W each. A couple of 400W plus ones would be a logical upgrade. I have an MPPT controller that should manage. Upgrading to 24V would be awkward, but I might bite the bullet. I do have a 24V inverter, but not a great second battery.

Not going to fuss over it this year. I'm hopeful that the roof wasn't wrecked, but will have to inspect in better light.

Sorry that happened Jenny! Lots of luck in replacing/repairing them. What a bummer.

Well that wasn't good..... Glad to see you are viewing as a chance to upgrade (or trying to).... How's Mr JJ's welding skills?
