Unfortunately I have just returned from my GP who has given great news and explained to me that I have a pain in the backside condition called Raynauds.
Anyways I feel the cold alot even when its warm and this is more prevalent in my fingers and my toe's going the colour in the picture.
As such as winter is coming up and Mr Tax Man has been kind, could someone spec me some gloves that are warm but still give the ability to do tasks with them on and nice and toasty socks to keep my feet and toes warm.

I think my son has this but the docs weren't interested. His hands in the winter are always that colour and he really feels the cold.
Can't advise on gloves but would reccomend some hand warmers to carry with you.
Thanks for that PreppingsU,
Only advice I can give if your GP isnt interested, is consider getting a second opinion elsewhere.
My GP when I lived in cardiff also wasn't interested - moved up this neck of the woods, changed GP who suspected it was what I thought, got some blood taken out of my by the Nurse in the surgery - went back today and had it confirmed.
Shop around and find the cheapest place for them. I think Sports World sell them and they are quite cheap.
I also just acquired a pair of SealSkinz gloves. They are issued to the military so they must be good. Not tried them out yet myself other than putting them on. They are totally waterproof yet breathable.
Mittens are better for heat as they don't seperate your fingers, so what littel heat you have is kept inside and next to your hands. They are a lot of golfing mittens I have seen on the net which are supposed to be good. We all know what Jessies golfers are so they must be good.
Walking is supposed to be an excellent way of improving circulation. Obviously walking outside in this weather is a bit counter productive but you could invest in a walking machine. I would certainly be looking at alternative remedies as doctors tend to fob off problems like this and yet there are many good alternative remidies for many things out there.
I knit all our gloves and socks and have done some research on this. Apparently alpaca is 4 times warmer than pure wool - but my son finds it unbearably itchy. So a mix of baby alpaca and merino wool would seem to be about the best option. Unless you found thermal man-made climbers gloves or something.
Thanks for the replies ladies and gents much appreciated.
Diamond Lil - as I dont have anyone that knits/isn't interested in knitting, it may fall down to me to attempt(this being the biggest word) to knit some socks myself, I couldnt be cheeky and ask if you follow any templates at all that could be emailed if possible?.
I have a pair of sealskinz and I heartily recommend them. I wear them when cycling in the winter and they are still too hot They have two fingers in each 'pouch' and a thumb pouch so you look like a penguin but are so, so warm and waterproof to boot!
Not sure how practical they are though as they are quite thick, the ones I have anyway.
