Some soup makers now have a dedicated 'Oat Milk' button, worth looking at.

I have camel milk & have tried goats milk.
I have limited lactose intolerance (possibly due to a condition I was born with regarding protein metabolism).
I have PKU which has around 1 in !0-14K in the UK. 1 in 6K in Ireland & is common in Native Americans, Nordic people & Roma.
It has a 1 in 40 cases in some groups all the way to 4 in ! million in Japan.
PKU is an inability to metabolise Phenylalanie.
My mothers family are most or all lactose intolerant.
I use camel milk for diabetes as its an insulin like stimulant to help lower blood sugar. (I have around 20is medical conditions).

I need to say that I really don't understand the issue about oat milk - unless it's texture, I suppose. It just seems so expensive for what it is. What am I missing? Willing to be educated!

I saw something on telly that had a guy making oatmilk and he remarked that with the bought stuff, the carton probably costs as much as the contents
