Cannabis for pain relief
Re: Cannabis for pain relief
Thanks for the bump - I've never yet done anything about this, considering what's about to happen to global supply chains, I'd best get a wiggle on.
Re: Cannabis for pain relief
They actually make it up the road from me in Loanhead and there’s a few other places in the U.K. that grow and produce it.
It’s good to support the cannabis industry in the U.K.!
Re: Cannabis for pain relief
It certainly is! Right, I'll muck about with the links on this thread till I've found something I can buy. It's not exactly a "supply chain will break" issue, but I had an abortive trip out today when my sister's tyre pressure went doolally, and since then I've been fossicking about finding a solar panel I foolishly mentioned to her. Got to actually use it now! So a little rest in front of the laptop mucking about on cannabis websites will suit me very well

Ta-da! I used hemp elf, 250mg of broad spectrum CBD oil, and 1g of "hemp pollen hash" - which sounds like you take a tiny wee bit (I'll find out the exact amount
) to make a tea. £6 P&P, which is do-able for this sort of thing.
I did look at the gummies, but they're full of all the sorts of crap that I try not to eat, but that I find really attractive (to be found in any sweetshop in the country) ... tea and oil it is. I'll eventually report back - I'm super slow at that.

That’s what I got this time, I just searched ‘medium strength CBD’ on Amazon and took a chance as it had decent reviews. I’m only a couple of days in, I tend not to notice until over a week in and then it’s ’my knee isn’t as sore as normal’ rather than an immediate relief.
I hope it works for you, the drops worked for me but the gummies didn’t. It could just be a placebo effect but as John Lennon sang ‘whatever gets you through the night, is alright’.

I hope so too
Re: Cannabis for pain relief
I’ve used the term ‘I don’t know if it’s new year, New York or new potatoes’ to describe me if I’m knackered!
Anyhoo, let me know how you get on. I’ve stopped taking Sleepeaze which are Boots own brand Nytol as the last time I was on the drops, I slept like a log…

Must admit, i've been thinking of looking into this. Likewise, arthritis (osteo). Tried some drop type stuff several years ago to little effect.

See if you can get a deal on the drops first, most folk seem to get on with them and then try other stuff like gummies. I wouldn’t pay a lot to try them as well and go for full spectrum which uses all of the plant if you can. Good luck!GeraldTheBonzai wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2026 8:40 pm Must admit, i've been thinking of looking into this. Likewise, arthritis (osteo). How are you getting on? It’s not like a sudden change you feel but when I seriously took them the last time, I noticed I had less pain after a few weeks. I still woke up with a bit of stiffness with the shoulder and knee but it wasn’t as severe as it previously was.
I’m trying to figure out if it’s the same this time, I’m doing around 15-25k steps a day at the moment so my knee is still tight at times…
