Well, first off, what printer to buy as an entry level. I've seen good things written about Flashforge, so that's interesting that you rate it.

Well, first off, what printer to buy as an entry level. I've seen good things written about Flashforge, so that's interesting that you rate it.

I’ve enjoyed using it so far, at the minimum I’d look for something that auto levels, it’s a real pain to do it manually, this one will level and calibrate itself, it’s very easy to service and has a ton of accessories for you to print off including enclosures!

What I don’t like about it, is the networking stuff, if you have it set to an internet enabled network it periodically dials home for firmware updates. This when combined with government pressures to regulate 3d printers worries me. I’ve not I’ll make sure to note never have and never will print anything sketchy with it.

I’d definitely say the Flashforge is good for entry level, if you’re not in a rush, I’d hang out for sales, you can get them at very good prices. I almost exclusively print in PLA+ which the Flashforge manages absolutely fine, I’ve had no problem with TPU either but I also have a filament drier for that.

I’m currently printing camo stencils in rubber so I can lay it over the top of what I’m spraying, my next project will be an RC truggy which I plan to eventually put a 5g modem in so it can be controlled over the internet. I also found the model for a 3d printed helicopter which looks good.
