Advice for a hopeless gardener

I think I am going to have to be much more careful with my seed storage. My late sown beans failed to germinate & I realised they had been on the windowsill and become far too hot. Some emergency germination tests confirmed that I have lost quite a lot of seed to the heat. I have replaced for the things I wanted to sow mid summer and all new seed is now going in the fridge until the heat waves calm down. I will be saving seed from some things this year and will need to be careful with anything saved during midsummer in future.
