I have the L'EQUIP dehydrator model 528 which was great whilst it worked, but now blows cold air.
L'EQUIP have a newer model out that has a timer & hopefully they have fixed this comon fault.
Though to be honest I would not recomend this dehydrator, it does dehydrate food quickly and there are large trays & you can use up too 20 trays.
I can't find anyone in the UK that can fix them, I have 2 [unknown too me my parents had bought me one for my birthday, a week after I had bought 1] both broke within 18 months & even though they are under warranty for 10 years the return address is Harrisburg USA.
Dehydrators & Vaccum Packing
Re: Dehydrators & Vaccum Packing
I am going to ask a very stupid question here - please excuse my ignorance.
Is dehydrating fruit the same as the "dried" fruit you buy in a store?

Re: Dehydrators & Vaccum Packing
I finally bought a dehydrator 4 months back. I bought the excalibur 9 tray with timer. Each tray is 39 cm square. I dried 8 kilos of onions in one go. Great for all sorts of food and meat jerky.
I am not into gadgets as such, so anything I buy has to earn its keep. I think this will do the job.
