Bought 20 grow bags from B & Q so can start my veg etc in greenhouse early next year as sometimes these are hard to get early in the year.
Starting winter planning by stocking up on batteries for torches and led battery operated lights for the garden also had halogen security lights installed in front and back garden as a back up.
Putting away some funds to buy portable gas heater and 2 - 15kg calor gas cannisters
Bought 10 bags of flour, 2 bags of 1000 tea bags, 30 litres of UHT milk and started bagging out flour and tea bags in mylar bags (what I don't use this winter will be kept for long term storage or will use next year whenever I am skint and can't afford any grocery)
Purchased campers kettle - because regular electric kettle burns too much electricity and trying to cut down on electric bill - campers kettle will be used alot in winter. Stocked on butane gas for portable stove to boil kettle on and do quick reheat of tinned soup etc.
PS - if anyone is interested in mylar bags - got mine off this seller who does 02 absorbers as well at very good prices

Stocked up on crackle logs and reduced price charcoal.
That's me sorted for Winter camping and the ability to heat/cook if there is a power outage.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Went to Asda yesterday, got myself a couple of bags of de-icing salt for £3, for a 3kg bag. Also got a pair of traction tracks for £8.00 and a pair of ice grips for £8.00. Asda are also selling hand warmers for 60p for a pack of 2 or 2 packets for £1, got myself a few of them.
If anyone has a Homebargain in the area, they are selling snow shovels for £3.99, hope to get one today.
Been stocking up on coffee, sugar, tea bags etc!
Made up my own ration packs and tried them out with various pieces of equipment on a trip along Hadrians Wall camping in a bivi bag under a tarp for 3days, what a fantastic trip! Basically, I put my Bug Out Bag to the test!
