Flu jab 2011!

Post by ticklemonkey »

Has everyone had/booked for their Flu jab (if possible) yet?

I have had mine and am feelin' fine, thankfully.

:tinfoil I, of course, realise that the unknown, unspoken of evil, alien overlords are merely injecting their DNA/RNA into us but....

I haven't grown tentacles yet and have tried to have one for the last few years and survived! end :tinfoil

Prevention is better than cure, I personally believe, especially if it's going to be a stinker this winter!
(the winter haven't heard about the Flu)!

Sainsbury's are offering them for £8.00 so I might pop along and get one.

The Missus and I are booked in Saturday AM.

Our GP offers a flu jab to ALL of the practice patients every year, he reckons it saves him, and us, thousands.

I am three weeks into a Baaad chest infection.Compounded by my asthma.I had to postpone my jab.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Robert Frost.

Covid 19: After that level of weirdness ,any situation is certainly possible.

IMO, it's worth paying. I get it free but my better half always pays.

No side effects at all this year (except the 'V' can now track me)

Me and Wifey had the flu about 9 years ago over Christmas & New Year.

Laid us both out for a couple of weeks but I still have no intention of getting a jab. I won't go into my reasons here but they are sound.

Be lucky (and in fine fettle)

Thanks for that Itsy - I usually go to Boots and pay about £12. I'll go check and see if Sainsburys is nearer.
My GP does them free after all entitled people have been done, but it means phoning the surgery each week, and it gets later and later each year as the entitled ones havent all been done. It's easier to pay for it. I had flu once - about ten years ago. Never again
I'd crawl over hot coals to get the jab.
