They would be good to stock ( multi vits) for the event of poor or limited diet I think.

Hi jansman - just a quck other note because your asthamtic - your chest infection can quickly turn in to bronchitis in one quick swoop - so it may be worth going to GP and let them listen to you lungs - I had a cough that would not go away at the beginning of the year - no flu, fever or anything just the cough it was bronchitis - got a great cough cordinal from GP (sorry really cannot remember the name as I myself want to have some in stock) - though didnt pay through prescription as actual item only cost £1.99 and it cleared it up in no time.

In the meantime - hope you feel better soon! :)

I AM going to get a check next week. I never take chances,as my eldest(who also has asthma) got pneumonia twice in her life.

You wouldn't believe I am a very strong man who cycles 250 miles a week on average and cuts beef carcases all day!
Up to 5 yrs ago I never suffered with anything since I was 11. Now I have this for life apparently.
Oh well...

I have been classed as asthmatic for most of my life, it comes and it goes, i had it all the time i was growing up, then i was clear from 1980 to 1998, then it came back, i havent had an attack for about 5 years, i've had the flu jab for the last 10 years but was refused this year because, i feel much better, i've stopped using my inhalers, i'm in 2 minds about this as i heard last year they also included some swine flu vaccine in the injection, which i was concerned about having not been told by the health centre. so we'll see how i fare this winter without the injection.

Your Grandmother was right.
I am pleased to say I am back on the bikes-easing in at a wussy 150 miles this week(mind, it is in a fixed wheel).

Thanks for your good wishes.

For anyone who wants to know what's in the vaccine, I went yesterday for mine:

A/California/2009 (H1N1)
A/Perth/2009 (H3N2)
A/Victoria/210/2009
B/Brisbane/60/2008

Here is a link to the FDA'a website saying that Thimerosal is in the Flu vaccine. Thimerosal contains mercury which is a neurotoxin. I am looking to rid my body of mercury rather than put more into it. It's bad enough having it in my fillings but putting it straight into the bloodstream!
