You wouldnt be a Mum if you did anything else. Family first. Its the strongest force on earth.

Added 5kg pinto beans, 5kg haricot beans, 50kg plain flour, 50kg strong bread flour, 50kg Rye grain to food storage. Also 5kg sesame sticks (the thick sticks you get in bombay mix) and 5 kg popping corn for the sweet/snack stash. Today received 25x 25l buckets to put it in ;)
Dehydrated passata sauce, and chopped in the blender, so it is now passata powder (longer shelf life, less space)

bought cheap canning kit off of ebay. now just got to get the mason jars from wilkinsons and the pressure cooker (possibly also from wilkinsons) to complete the "set"

Also now looking out for a cheap vacuuming solution (for mason jars primarily, as well as bagging) and one that will only be using food safe components

The other day I got a nice big snow shovel :)

Was an absolute bugger digging a path though it with a garden spade, last time .

Nick, if there are more than one of these, do you have a link to them please?

Nick, Morrisons or QD(what was Woolies, maybe B&D in your area?) are much cheaper for jars than Wilkinsons.
