Garlic oil

Post by Daveb »

Hi everyone! Havnt been on for a while, i was talking to my girlfriends mum who is a nurse, and she told me something interesting, she always has garlic oil capsules in the medicine cupboard and apparently taking 5 capsules is the equivalent of an antibiotic, just thought I'd share with you all (sorry if it's already been mentioned) but I think antibiotics would become very difficult to come by if anything happens and garlic oil can be bought easily to add to your preps for the future, I'm going to be ordering a couple of books on edible wild foods and natural medicines, but if anyone else knows of any other medical tips I'd be grateful, cheers

Also eating half a (tennis ball sized) raw onion is good for keeping illness away.

I have a jar of Clove Oil in mt FA Kit.

Good for toothache / filling loss where no dentist is available...

Ask Dustin Hoffman
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Keeping onto thread... there is a programme on TV (think it was Mon or Tues) called Food Hospital (I think) which was looking at good foods to eat to help illness etc. However, I switched on for 2 mins thinking it would be useful but it was more like that Embrassing Illnesses programme and it put me off my tea :(

I have clove oil too, always keep a bottle handy. Not only for toothache but it's a handy antiseptic and slight anaesthetic. It also removes nail polish so if you get it on your hands, just be aware.

Nail polish on a mossie bite seems to take away the itching. Not something a man readily speaks about.
