So has anyone got any of this in their stores, I got a few tins sat in the store room, can be used in case of emergency, and is OK for more than just warming pans of food.

Well there is such a thing as a methanol spirit fuel to those who have seen and heard of it "Fire-snot"
Also called "Greenheat"
Not brilliant, but it does eventually work, clean and easy to use, and little or no waste product left over, made from a by-product of sugar cane.
But chafing fuel is cheaper if nothing else.

Do you know the physical size of these. Hard to see scale.
Could you not just use tea lights (the food warmers shown in the pics normally use tea lights)
Edit : or are the stainless "warmers" actually cookers?

The cans of fuel act as the cooker and are about 3" (75mm) diameter, you can put them in a fancy holder and then put the stainless steel food pans on the top to keep warm.

Never heard of it before! Amazon seems more reasonable that eBay! Haven't go Costco got a bookers card!

They will have them in Bookers, Mrs Gnole has a card for there. usually with the catering equipment next to the chaffing dishes.
