I just got out of hospital a couple of days ago following an operation. While I was in i read how to survive the end of the world as we know it by James Wesley Rawles. I was particularly interested in the chapter on medical supplies and training and came across this http://www.hesperian.org/publications_download.php You can download where there is no doctor and where there is no dentist which should be quite useful post shtf. Needless to say I was quite happily discharged with a bucketload of free meds (was hoping for some antibiotics but that might've been pushing my luck)

thankyou both, surprisingly im managing to rest. Normally I cant sit still, always on the go.

I have to mention one other point that stuck out for me in this book is that if you have an ongoing health issue dont put off doing something about it. Get the treatment/surgery you need and do it asap. As it says in the book what may be a minor inconvenience could turn into something life threatening if shtf.
