Tried my hand at candle making this is with a propper mould! I would like to try animal fat candles using the dipping method next!

Making candles is a fine hobby. I used to make a load in fantasy Moulds and flog them at LRP events. Usually paid for my travel, entry, beer and ticket.

Actually that last bit is a lie. I usually took about 15 Gallons of my own ales to drink anyway. Still a good hobby tho.

Next week is part 2 of a skill sharing 'roundabout' with some new friends - last week I learnt how to make soap. This week I'm showing how to dip candles. Easy, crafty stuff but it's binding like minds together and I'm learning new stuff.

Good stuff. I think you can get paraffin in solids for candle making?
