I tend to look at it like an insurer does, Passenger airlines rarely crash but when they do it is usually a high casualty rate, where as car crashes tend to be frequent but low casualty rate, it is to do with "risk assessment", I am more likely to have a power/water outage than an 18 wheeler wiping out my house.Carrot Cruncher wrote:Gnole, I admit that yours is the most likely scenario...though I would still rather be in my camper than a travel lodge, but however unlikely you believe it to be you honestly have no plans at all beyond a B&B or staying with friends for a couple of hours? even for something a lot more serious ?
Not a critcism, we are all here for different reasons........just curious
Part of the reason I like the camper is that it covers (to a certain extent) a hell of a lot of different scenarios from the low risk, high probablity events, to the high risk, low probability events and most cases in between
Prepare for the little things and let the big ones sort themselves out, prepping for one often covers multiples
