Thanks PreppingSu for the info - think I will just keep one in the car and if driving anywhere far, will take the extras along on the trip.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
I am just starting out on stocking up on things, made a short run to Tesco on the way home and had a good look over offers it was really interesting looking at different tins and the calorific value. Further investigation to be had at the weekend!
I also got started putting together a BoB and will be making a trip to a local army surplus to pick up some more bits.

Picked up a Winter Ski/snowboarding jacket for under £40, reduced from £200
Tried a dry run on my Ebay £2.50 micro stove, Nice piece of kit, must try a boil test on it some time.
Got myself a BDH safepak storage container to use as a small stash container I think it's a 2.5 ltr one, £1 in the charity shop I use

Have you had it before Rayman? If not then you may want to try a tin before you buy a load in. Just in case its rank!Rayman wrote:got 4 tins of 35p ravioli from tescos tonight, oct 2014 date on them, quite high in calories, think i may well be getting a tray of these

Where does "tasting rank" come into a survival situation?
