RE: Everyone saying "you have to stock up on only things you think are yummy"

I dont eat over salted processed Pig Anus's which is what Spam etc mainly is. I also dont eat Sugary fruits slices....

BUT I have got three months stock of each, in my emergency store.

This is because it will keep me alive if and when any event decreeing I don’t have access to real fresh meat and veg occurs.

I don't think I have read that one anywhere tfish, what I have seen though is people saying "buy what you eat and eat what you buy", seems totally logical to most on here.

You can stock up on anything you want, but why buy stuff that you dislike, unless of course it is to give to people you don't like wtshtf so they won't want to come back for anymore. ;)

No, I think you are mentally prepared to differentiate between the way we live now, and the way it will be in the future. At this moment in time, food is all about pleasure. In the future eating will be about getting the calories onboard. Whatever it tastes like.

Nope.
So basically what you are saying is store whatever you can and bu&&er the consequences. Instead of storing 3 months worth of Spam, which you have admitted is not your first choice, what is wrong with storing something you do prefer? There are plenty of other meat products at a similar price point you may actually enjoy.
Personally, I have now gone down the home preserve route. I have recently canned five portions of each Free range Beef, Mixed Game, Venison, Free range Pork. Pound for pound the price is equitable with Spam.
Before you say not everyone has the wherewithall to preserve for themselves, well it's not rocket science and I have proven that the equipment is out there. So, rather than buy inferior food(by the way, Tesco ravioli has questionable meat products in it too) DIY.
With what I have stored, I can make ravioli with a tomato sauce from scratch and it will be a darn sight better than Tesco's. :D

Dragging us screaming back on topic 8-)

I am going to review my medical supplies and sort them out as they have gotten a bit messed up with recent arrivals being just thrown in the box.

Add some more cans, water etc onto the weekly shop and if the weather holds I will sort out the jerry cans I recently got.

Still experimenting!
Tried ferns as bedding, in the chicken house, it works a treat! ;)
Invested in some more kilner jars and spare discs.

Not entirely sure what your "does this frazzle your minds?" comment is implying? Because the only thing I can deduce from that is the fact that it's downright rude. But clearly it's important enough to you to put it in bold, so perhaps you could expand on it in a constructive manner, if you are able?

I prefer to eat what I enjoy, as do others on here, it would appear. You're the one who seems to be intent on turning this discussion into an argument because others don't see things the same way as you do. I have more than enough 'yummy' food (your words, not mine)to see me through a SHTF situation. You crack on, though, with whatever tickles your taste buds. Or not, as the case may be...
