for once Itsy, i am in full agreement with you :lol: there is no point in stocking something you would never eat in the normal times, it gets stuck in the back of the cupboard and there it stays, you all know the mantra by now, store what you eat & eat what you store, and rotate, rotate, rotate. the old time survivalists didn't just make it up to sound good, it also makes great common sense.

Waterproofed my lavvu so off to the woods tmorrow for the weekend to test it out.... wish me luck :lol:

Erm... is a lavvu the same as a lavvy ? Then I'd think it would pretty much need to be waterproof! :lol:

Just canned some pork to keep me going for about a month or two.
Gonna approach the Environment Agency about the possibility of getting a license to trap red signal crayfish locally and to see what other hunting / trapping licenses I need.

Grey squirrels are fair game. If you find an injured grey squirrel and take it to the vet( :lol: ), the vet is not allowed to release it back into the wild, as its not a native species.
