Even the tins rotate as they roll down so mix up the contents at the same time :mrgreen:

Grey squirrs are more than fair game, they're quite tasty too! A no 4 fenn trap in a tunnel is ideal. Make sure to restrict access at the entrances so as to avoid catching anything larger like rabbits. These can be trapped in the same way but using a no 6 fenn. The reasoning is that a no4 is smaller so won't kill a rabbit cleanly while a no6 is too powerful for a squirrell and it might get messy. This might be worth a how to, trap construction, placement and arming/disarming. I'll see if I can't find some time...

I'd like to see Britain adopt an "Eat a Grey Squirrell Day" or at least get a few celebrity chefs lead the charg on consuming the little breeders. It would give the native Reds a fighting chance ( if they have any left at all :cry: ) and keep the Greys in Check a little.

Plenty of Southern Americans eat them, wonder if I can get HFW on board to serve Greys at his restaurant? Worth an e-mail I reckon

i seem to remember a HFW programme not long ago TeeDee in which he cooked this very animal!

One of the Celebrity Chefs (can't remember his name but he's married to Ferne Britton) was saying on the Radio how he had a BBQ a few months back and served up a couple of Greys to his unknowing guests and they went down a treat apparrently

Grey squirrels are a major pest here, people have fed them so much that I can't leave a window or door open as they come into the house and they do considerable amount of damage chewing through wires and water pipes, I for 1 would be happy too see the dammed things gone as well as the pigeons that keep on pooping on my clean washing.

That would be Phil Vickery.

There was a big thing about them a few years back, but it seems to have quietened down now.

pek at tescos, £1.18 for the big tin with 40% extra free, thats over 800 k/cals per tin, with a bbe of 2015, i bought 2, well worth stocking up on.
