Hot Dogs

Post by Rayman »

I got a tin of these in a hamper for Christmas, they have a date of 2015 on them, most people love hot dogs, and with a long shelf life and very inexpensive these puppies have to be a preppers fave :D

Next time I'm in Tescos the hot dog section will be getting some attention.

I have a few tins of those stashed away, I would hate to think what goes in them but they taste lovely :D

Maybe we should create a "Preppers Hamper" with all the items that contain long life/tinned food

Hot dogs
Spam
Bacon Grill
Corned Beef
Sausages in Lard (http://www.hotukdeals.com/tag/sausages-in-lard)
Tinned Sprouts
Tinned Butter (http://www.amazon.com/Red-Feather-PURE- ... B004RR61SM)
Tinned Bread (http://www.flakmag.com/misc/bmbread.html)
Tinned soups

If you dont know how to preserve the stuff yourself then you can get buy and forget 25year life foods at:

A guide to how long the stuff lasts :

Tinned bread sounds very very odd. Much nicer to make oatcakes on the fire, we did it once using a biscuit tin lid and you can use a shovel. Far better for you than bread anyway

Hi diamond lil,

Do you have a good recipe / method for oat cakes please? I am looking for a way to reduce my huge bread consumption!

Cheers
