Completely new to all this.....

Post by Cairistìona »

Hi I was advised that this might be a useful site to visit by another website that i am a member of who have set up a page relating to preparedness.

I'm new to all this so I cant say much about what Ive done. I haven't done a thing, which makes me really a bit scared now.

Hello to you all and wishing you a very prepared 2012!

All the best

Welcome. You made the first step by acknowledging that you need to do something. Try not to feel scared by it all, it can be overwhelming but start by taking baby steps.
Read this thread -it's a good place to start.

If you have any questions just ask and someone will point you in the right direction. :D

Welcome, Cairistiona.

Just realizing that there is a need to prepare, to be ready for simple things like an electric failure in your street, to more major things, is a great step forward. Prudent people "prepare" everyday, we just often don't call it that - we call it "making a will" or "putting in a smoke detector" or "buying car insurance". Same kind of thinking is going on here, only applied to things like lighting and heating, and food supply. :)

all the best to you!
