So I thought I'd do a quick post on the FUNcube Dongle Pro. So the key facts, its a 64MHz to 1,700MHz software defined radio which has a USB interface which you connect a computer too, it costs £104 and works on Windows, OSX, Linux and BSD.

I only got one today, but so far I think its the best value radio for the money as its feature packed and allows you to do everything from listening to music and ham operators to receiving satellite images and data, and so much more.

Its pretty slick overall, my mobile set up involves a Panasonic ToughBook CF-29 > usb extension cable > FUNcube Dongle Pro (Velcroed to the back) > Sky Scan mobile scanner antenna, and its working a treat so far, picking up a massive amount.scoobie wrote:Looks pretty awesome, what's it like in the 'real world'?
