There's nothing un-manly bout knitting. A skill is a skill whatever your chromosome arrangement. Good luck with it

I still wear an Arran Jumper my father knitted for me over 25 years ago, it's a little baggy but boy does it keep me warmRosesandtea wrote:Nick, knitting used to be mens' work in some places in some times - knitting guilds were for men. Women often spun while men knitted or wove. I think it's good to learn things like that.
As to undies. there are a lot of people in the prepping world who are stocking up either on completed items or the materials for making them.

Bought a big tin of ham this week, its the pear shaped tin, quality ham, it was pricey, £1.80, but has a 2016 date on.
Will be getting a few of these when I have a spare few quid.

We have about 6 of those hams in the store. Good prep item to have, along with other more basics.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
I picked up a load of Frey Bentos tinned pies at the weekend for a pound each to stick in the store
MrsCC had never tried them so we had the "Just Chicken" one last night, absolutely lovely....although the wife said it was the most disgusting bit of food she had ever tried
All the more left for me

Aww Wolfie you look good in that kilt -very nice. And you didnt pair it with clashing socks LOL like a lot of them do
Mrs W is lovely, love her dress.
And now I took the whole thread wildly OT but we can all go back to it
I remember an old nurse telling me that after WW2 they encouraged injured soldiers to knit - just to keep them occupied and keep them talking, the talking was the main reason, for therapy.
