In the recent high winds of hurricane Bawbag, we took a bit of damage including some ridge tiles, and garden strutures. However today the high winds here have caused quite a bit more damage, I lost a few square metres of tiles. I had to watch them peeling off over a few hours. I have also lost the odd tile elsewhere but so far the damage whilst not insignificant is not too bad. I have also lost some glass & some fencing.
I got really wet when wedging a large window that had started to break free of an outbuilding. I think I did enough to stop it blowing right out.
I also had a high wall/ lintle collapse crushing a duck house below. Happily the ducks survived.
How is everyone else doing on this not so glorious day?

Gosh, that sounds like a nightmare. And the poor ducks - I hope they're not traumatised!
It's pretty bad here, too, in East Yorkshire. The Humber Bridge is closed to high-sided vehicles and the wind has been gusting madly all day. Last night it sounded like my roof tiles were taking flight, and it will only be worse this evening. May need a wee dram o' single malt to send me into the land of Nod!

Whilst we haven't had anything break yet, some neighbours have had some issues with corrugated sheeting on garages and outbuildings. Hope things get better soon!

well, my chickens wil have to develop webbed feet if it carries on raining! Their tarp blew off over night so they been exposed all day (I know, soft hens!!
). They are at the bottom of our sloping garden which is waterlogged clay so tomorrow could be interesting.
Lots of trees down around the county blocking roads - unfortunately none by me otherwise I would have been out getting the wood!
Roof still intact (I think-haven't been out to check!)
Keep safe everyone.

Husband was on doorstep this morning & said come and listen to the wind in the pines - it was a roar like a jumbo jet going over, never heard it so loud. Then the power went off and we just got back on at 10 tonight. BBC says 102mph at Blackford Hill in Edinburgh, and we're a lot higher than that here.

Thanks for the supportive comments.
It sounds like you had a scary experience "diamond lil".
On the funny side when I first went outside my hat blew off within the first minute and it blew over the house, my wife was outside on the other side of the house and saw it fly overhead, she was scared at first because she thought it was a roof tile heading for her, before it whipped up higher in the air and over our barn. I don't know where it is now perhaps the North Sea!
