Sectoid01, A good tip from another site, I can also do a load at the same time by using the measuring scale on the Milton bottle ( water in litres to amount of Milton) I can then use the bath as a large steraliser. I have an opaque bucket with visible 5 ltr measurement lines to fill with cold water before emptying in the bath so I know how much water I put in the bath.

Oh, also, just to let you know, I picked up some tinned fish from Lidl today. Its packed in a curry cream sauce and the best before date is 02/16 (grilled on toast this is AMAZING). All my tinned goods are packed in plastic storage boxes with the dates clearly written in permenant marker, it's quite a good feeling seeing that fish next to all the other goods that run out in 2012/2013.

O god.
Fish in curry sauce sounds like a challenge from the Japanese endurance tv show. Put me right off my porridge now!
Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Well I like fish. And I like curry. And I like prawn curry. But 'fish' in curry sauce? I dunno if I could stomach that to be honest. Even just thinking about a tin of mackeral or sardines makes my stomach churn, let alone slathering it with korma sauce!the7ps wrote:Oh, also, just to let you know, I picked up some tinned fish from Lidl today. Hopefully taking delivery of 5 litres of hibiscrub. This is a surgical soap which is excellent for dealing with pretty much everything! It contains chlorhexidine gluconate which is a very good disinfectant but is mild enough to wash in. If you have any cuts/grazes this is what to wash them in to prevent infection, if you are dealing with anything dead (as in VERY dead) then this will get rid of any lingering pong. I would substitute hibiscrub for normal soap in a SHTF situation.
Also, if you wash your feet/armpits in it, it will stave off BO for ages and if any teenagers in the house have zits, using it on their face will zap them better than most commercial stuff
