Cyclops,

Apologies for the delay, long day in work unfortunately.

Here are some site's that maybe useful for you: -

http://www.retrievatracking.com/vulnerable_people.aspx

http://www.personal-gps.co.uk/categorie ... r-Children

http://www.peopletracking.co.uk/product ... y=children

I dont know if these will be of any use but gives you an idea of whats out there. Again apologies for the delay in posting again and I hope that something works out.

Unfortunately you are right the law is a pain in the rear and seem to favour the criminal and not the victim. I don't usually like the papers much but have you considered approaching a national tabloid - sure due to reasons can keep you anonymous whilst giving you ammo to assist you in getting relocated/police to assist.

Another one to add to the list...

http://www.lok8u.com/buynowuk.html

Bit pricey, especially for three of the, but has the added protection of not being able to be removed without notification. If I see anything else, will post up.

Kalprep, that one looks brilliant, am going to add it to my "to get" list for my daughter.

It does look good, I especially like the security of removal alerting and the boundaries definition. This at least gives you the ability to define a 'no-go' area around a potential threats living/work area or any known hangouts.

My kids are a little young yet but these are a serious consideration for me personally.

4 kids were abducted in the village my dad lives in a couple of years ago back home in SA, I am paranoid about always needing to know where my daugther is, she is only 9 but when she goes to friends houses I phone them to make sure they are still at home and haven't gone out somewhere (and maybe forgot they had an extra child with them and left without her - paranoid I know).

She is already asking when can she walk home with her friends on her own without me etc - something like this watch would really put my mind at ease when she starts to move around more without me.

Cyclops, nearer the time for this pond lifes release notify schools of the problem so that they can make observations and act quickly if your kids don't turn up for school by contacting you and the police, just remember to notify school if kids off sick or has an appointment.
Worth asking if there is any funding available to pay for taxis too and from school, it is a long shot with all the cut backs but no harm in asking.
Do the police have a rape crissis center? If they do ask if you can liase with someone from there as they may be able to give you further advice on protecting your babies & they could possibly also help you to relocate to another area before he is released.
I know that hostels for battered and abused women wil relocate women especially with children to protect them and give them a new start, but you will be unlikely be able to approach them yourself but someone from the rape crissis center, a social worker or a friendly police officer could make the first approach on your behalf.
I.m sure you already do this, keep a updated photo of each seperate child put their height and weight on the back as a permanent and easy to grab record, also if they use social net works make sure they dont have a private password from you, check there account, personal details so they don't have there age , school, town, email address or phone number on display or even how many siblings they have,

my cousins daughter did and her parents wern't computer savy and I had spotted it when I had gone on to my daughters account as she was having problems with a boy who was asking too many personal questions so I clicked on to his personal information, nothing there except he was supposedly 15 and all his friends were girls aged between 12 & 15 noticed he had my cousins 13 year old daughter on his friends list so I clicked on hers and her personal info and her whole life was on that page for any one to see, her school, her pets her, full address, even the dance school she went too on a saturday  her big brother sorted her account out and it was explained why you dont put up so much info.

Hi Ro,

I have an alert system in place, if the kids are not in school by 08.30 there is the automatic text system and I know they are not in (08.15 start), I never get appointments for the kids in school time unless there is absolueltly no way around it then school know at least 2 days before and it is noted and verified day the day of the appointment. The school already have a picture of him on file, but it is the old newspaper one from when he was sent to prison taken at the Police station upon his arrest. But I am guessing that the probation service will NOT be providing me with a recent one, so that is all I have.
A hostel may be a problem as you mention hostels for abused women and kids but I am a man with the kids and there just isn't the same sort of set up available as it is normally assumed it is the Mother that has the kids, but times are changing and the system isn't. My group leader who works for Surestart in our Male carers group is well aware of the situation and has forwarded all the info with my permission to her boss to see what is available if a bug-out is needed. I keep up to date files on the kids with photos, birth certificates, My court orders (Parental responsibility and Residence) Fingerprints done with a proper professional fingerprint kit issued by the authorities that try to stop International child abduction. DNA (Hair root) samples done clinically with plastic tweezers x3,gloves x3 and put in clear plastic sealable bags and there is also a full question/answer sheet by the people who do the fingerprint kits for adding full physical descriptions, etc for each child.
I check the social networking sites and the kids have fake names and no details are on there at all and only certain family members and friends are allowed access.I also have them change passwords every month and I give them the new passwords out of a specialist dictionary I have.
