At the mo I'm watching 'threads' (nigh 28 days later) the best thing ever put to film, and reading 'death of grass'. If you have never seen/read these then get to it... now soldier!

So true. Another, possibly not the 80's, but if anyone's watched 'when the wind blows' I personally think it say's more than any 'real' film. All those government preps for nothing. Actually quite sad!

With a little thought it actually makes sense, so long as you are fit enough to ride.

As for zombies I think I may have qualified as one on Boxing day and I definitely will come New Years Day. :D :D
The bike as SHTF transport was a lightbulb moment when I read that book!

Interestingly the bike became popular just after the Year Wthout a Summer (1816, post volcanic eruption the year before) because many animals including horses had starved or frozen to death, or had been eaten - so were not around to be used for transportation.

the zombie survival guide was a cracking read!

i enjoyed it as a work of fiction, but if you planned for a zombie out break, you have a plan that also covers anything... so i look at it in that light. good fun, but a guide for complete survival, from prep to bug out to movement to re-settling.

Because the posts went out of the guidelines of the forum and went against the good standing of this forum. :D

Bizzare.

Every newspaper site is calling this news story the Zombie Cannibal.

You would think you are prepping people for monasterie and convent living not life in general.

There are plenty of other forums dedicated to zombies and other more 'out there' scenarios, but such topics are not part of the core ethos of UK Preppers. We are about practical prepping for realistic and plausible situations.
