Fizzy Drinks

Post by Optimystic »

What is everyones opion on storing fizzy drinks.. im thinking things like Coke which could give a sugar rush in times of lethargy... there are usually good deals on these kind of drinks and could easily be stored and of course it might be nice to drink something other than water if times got tough... are there any down sides to this idea?

Thanks

There's actually not a lot to fizzy drinks nowadays. A lot of the old funky chemicals are out and many don't have too much sugar in, mainly replaced with sweeteners.

Probably better to store sugar and dehydrated fruit, mix em together and have a nice top up drink.

On a different note however, I like a nice vodka and coke, or jack D and coke so I get packs of 24 and keep a rolling stock. Should the SHTF, I will definitely have enough for a couple of drinks before the plans kick off :D

I make some of our fizzy drink myself. Some of them have been less successful than others but I've been quite happy with our ginger ale and root beer. However if I had money and space to store and rotate colas and such I would do it - I love fizzy drink!

Not a bad idea. The carbon dioxide and sugars means it will last...forever! also the carbon dioxide enables the hydrating effect of this liquid to hit the colon quicker. Win win situation I reckon! :D
