Saw this on another thread so THANKS who ever it was who posted the original link to the site. The order is coming Wednesday so will check it out and might buy more if any good :D
Lets know what that cheese is like Sectoid :) thanks

Looked at it myself, the tins seem damn small, but they are cheap, so ordering a bag full of them is the way to go.

Good idea, I have a large white dog and don't know how I'd cope with no Hoover ( until now ). His hairs get everywhere even when I've cleaned and he's outside. Thanks I had over looked that :)

It popped into my head last week about carpet sweepers (or hodderers as we call them :D ) even had a little scan of ebay for them, cheapest I could find on there was about £15 but sure somewhere like wilkinsons will probs do them cheaper so will wait til next time I go to a big town to compare prices....so its on my list but, but not this week. But my 99% propanol arrived yeserday so will be doing some chemistry in my kitchen with that, and as ever keep topping up the stores, and bought another solar shower on ebay for £3.45. :) x

Got hold of some wood for our stove, unseasoned and uncut, for £100 (this is a very good price in our area!). All OH has to do now is split and stack it.

Probably sounds a bit strange, but come Dec / Jan I start collecting the cardboard insides of toilet rolls. Come the spring, when it's still too cold to plant out up here, I fill them with compost & seed (usually Peas / beans and start them off inside. When the weather is warmer I plant the t/roll centre straight into the garden. No disturbance to the roots and the cardboard soon decomposes. Could be used for other seed I guess but peas & beans is what I've done the last couple of years and it seemd to work okay.

Sue I'm in shock at the price of that wood ! You could get a lot longer/hotter out of £100 worth of coal.

Two dogs and a broken vacuum cleaner so bought a carpet sweeper myself the other week. Got one of the "pet" ones from Argos. Actually does a good job with some elbow grease.

Perhaps Sue has a wood burner and not a multi-fuel burner? Plus there is the PITA of dust from burning coal, unless you have a sealed multi fuel burner...
