Received all my cheese and marge though the packing wasnt the best and alot of them were heavily dented, if any one else buys from them request they use a loose fill chip type packing rather than the old egg boxes they used on my order.

what does the cheese actually taste like? Is it nice or something more rubbery-like?

I had some chicken in my local Chinese restaurant, when the waited asked me "How was the chicken?" I said "Rubbery", and he said "Thank you velly much" ;)

I would like to know what the cheese tasted like also. If it is like the Happy Cow cheese triangles then it's happy days as that stuff is perfectly acceptable to my pallette.

Not sure about margarine though. Might come in as a last resort but it has no nutritional value or goodness in it. Just useful maybe as a cooking ingredient.

Has anyone tried Butter Powder? I only came across it yesterday. At first I thought it was an April fool or something.

Be lucky (and gobsmacked)

Got a post here somewhere about on-line groceries. Watch the BBF dates (yes I know their only a guide, but just about all my tinned cheese and Marge is up this year) :!:

I believe that is down to the manufacturers of the actual tins who will not give a longer date than that. I could be wrong but I know they won't or can't give a date of longer than 3 years I think. Might be a little longer, possibly 4 years.

How does it taste? Is it scrummy yummy or minging??? Please tell.

Be lucky (and 7 years old again)

The " conserve.de " website gives a much longer lifespan for their tinned cheese than the BBD ...
They talk about 10 + years so long as the tin is kept at an even temperature and undamaged.
The short BBD on most canned goods is to do with the warrenty from the can manufacturer rather than the food inside it.
At least that is my understanding
