Cheap fire starting gel

Post by nickdutch »

Some hand sanitizers (EG, carex and culticura) contain so much alcohol that they burn with great ease. Probably a good investment if you want to get a fire going easy and reliably

Also worth getting for fire-lighting kits are Alco-prep wipes with isopropyl alcohol, and only about £1 a hundred + £1 P&P on ebay

Are they still doing the small alco-gel for 30p a bottle?

Found some on Ebay, but it is bulk packs :( and probably more expensive than getting it from a local budget outlet ;)
