Hi - I'm a relatively new prepper. First became aware of all this stuff about a year ago after watching Michael Ruppert's film 'Collapse'. Don't mind admitting it scared the s**t out of me. Since then I've been getting up to speed on peak oil etc. I have sporadic forays to the supermarket (usually after I've just read another book or been watching something online that gets me panicked).
I try not to become overwhelmed by it all or let prepping take over my life. At the same time I feel I sometimes wonder if I should be speeding things up ( this being 2012, economic meltdown going on every time I turn on the news).
Currently reading 'Reinventing Collapse - The Soviet Experience and American Prospects' by Dmitry Orlov, which I would highly recommend.
Other than that - I'm a 'mature' student, at the University of Greenwich studying Film & TV Production. Weekends I have a part-time job putting up football and rugby posts for amateur teams.
