Recommendation please
Recommendation please
Can anyone recommend a good book for uses/cooking methods/preparation/recipes for 'foraged' food - such as nettles, dandelions - maybe a River Cottage type of thing, but in paperback, and weighing less than a housebrick!
Re: Recommendation please
Itsy there was a review of exactly these sorts of books in a recent issue of Bushcraft Magazine. Will search it out when I get home.

Fergus Drennans review in the latest issue of Bushcraft and Survival skills magazine recommends the following;
Wild food - Roger Philips
The Forager Handbook - Miles Irving
Hedgerow - John Wight
Edible Seashore - John Wight

I think the Foragers Hanbook pictures are all Monochrome , which may make ID'ing difficult.Cougar wrote:Fergus Drennans review in the latest issue of Bushcraft and Survival skills magazine recommends the following;

I like those by Johnny Jumbalaya, see:

He is often at meets like the Wilderness Gathering. The free Ebook at the above address is perhaps all you need, enough to get you started.
And, of course, Food for Free. The grandpa of them all.
