To sort of quote our beloved prime minister...."calm down dear(s)"

It's all my fault as no one had replied until i did, I accept full responsibility....but it was the lizards that made me do it

I personally don't find talk about killing people as "sensible prepping"

Everyone will have their own opinion of what "sensible prepping" is - but to me, it is storing food, water, learning to grow your own veg, that is "sensible prepping".

I like the "Self reliance" side of prepping, I do the things you say and possibly a bit more, but we are all on different levels, (Some are on different planets even ;) ).

But I also feel that "going out to killing people" is not the way to get ahead of the crowd, but if necessary as a last level of "defence" it might sadly be a necessity.

correct, in the last dying days of our present civilisation and in the time before the start of the new civilisation , in defence of our families and what stores we have left, sadly killing will be an option but maybe it wont come to that?

I shouldn't need to define sensible prepping -for gods sake you are both grown men and should know

Come on everybody, let us get back to prepping for what we individually believe the future may hold, whatever it may be, instead of wasting a beautiful day snapping at each other.

For myself I think some 'risk definition' discussion is necessary on this board. Some people seem to be preparing against the hazards themselves and not against the risks of those hazards. If you don't understand what I mean you are probably one of those people.

Shall I start a thread (not today please it is too nice outside) explaining 'Risk Reduction' Verses 'Hazard Mitigation' or would I be wasting my time?
