Hi everyone, mates call me iggy, pleased to see a UK site after spending many hrs on the tube viewing USA material, I live and work in the West Midlands and have been prepping for about 8 months now, I have managed to sort out my wheat, rice and self efficient garden, chickens rabbits etc, I also purchased a super size freezer which I intent to convert to a 12v type, looking into solar panels for off grid system currently have managed to obtain around 20 70Ah batteries and would also like to build my own wood gasifier, I have loads to learn from you folks and would appreciate any advice. I am not easily scared, however one thing does concern me and would like your thoughts please, I have small children so bugging out is not an option, so fortifying the home is a must, how are you protecting your property and what would you do if locals want what you have and decided to petrol bomb your home to get you it. I hope this is food for thought folks and its not my intention or wish to scare people just my main concern and don't have the answer myself, any help would be appreciated.
PS sorry almost forget while I have been rambling on pleased to meet you all.

Many of us here, for whatever reason, are planning to bug in. There have been discussions in the past about ensuring our home is safe so I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction. I must stress however, that anything we discuss must be within the confines of the current legal system.
