Hello!
I'm Beaks, I'm 24 and a graphics student. I recently moved to Bristol last year from oop norf.
I've always had a kind of floating awareness about survivalism, but it sounded a bit sinister and paranoid, but 'prepping' sounded much more accessible!
I've been hovering around the forum as a visitor for a few weeks or so, just getting a feel of things, and it seems like a great place.
I'm completely new to prepping! But my first goal is to have supplies for two people (me and my girlfriend) for a month, in case of general emergency. Then build to 3 months, and tailor for more specific emergency situations.
Defence is something I also want to look into, because as a short and fairly weedy woman, I'm going to be an easy target for marauders haha!
Say hello and play nicely please — it was everyone's first day once!

Hello, and welcome to UKP!
We're a friendly bunch here, and we all started somewhere but it sounds like you're you're on the right starting path!
There are a few lists on the forum which will help you get started with what to buy as an absolute minimum and, you can just add to this store from there.
There are no silly questions, so do not be afraid to ask!

Re: Hello from Bristol!
Haha thank you! I'll be sure to check them out. So far I used the p2s food storage calculator, and made a shelf stable meal plan, so I can swap items out for preference. But I really need to look into non-food items and equipment. thanks!

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Re: Hello from Bristol!
Hello from another Bristol based member, we seem to be collecting quite a large number these days on various forums.
Stick around and learn, there is lots to read on the forum. We occasionally have meets or lunches, if you keep posting there might be an invite
All the best
