You don't need a gun cabinet for an air rifle (unless it is over 12ftlb) all you need to do is make it inaccessible to persons under 18 years of age.

So if you chain the rifle through the trigger guard to an immovable item it is secure and inaccessible.

If you have an understairs storage cupboard or wardrobe (Built in or otherwise) and can fix an anchor point to it for a chain and padlock that is enough.

I have got a BSA lightening XL and if chucked a Leopold scope, and a couple other accessories onto it, I'm positive it could easily take small game, rabbits, pigeons and squirrels etc. And I wouldnt want to get hit by it....... I'll leave you to imagine what's ment by that

if you want a full power springer get a Weirhauch(german) one, they do tend to be a bit over heavy though, a BSA meteor is a good back up gun if you can get one, i bought one second hand and got my gun club to fit a new spring and breech seal.

I have a Weihrauch HW95K .22 and it is a belter of a rifle!! However, I got it for taking down small game and vermin (rabbits and rats!) and it does the job just fine. If you're going for target practise then there are few others that are good. Just bought one for my boy to use - SMK Syntarg that is a great wee rifle and you can get a combo deal including a scope and bag for around £120 Its a little too short if you are a tall human like myself tho.

Both a spring loaded and are decent rifles but never had a go of a Gamo Shadow before so can't say how it is.

Unfortunately no, the money that Christmas ended up being, well, you know........
It's still on my list of things to get but have recently found out that my neighbour has a shotgun licence so I'm keeping in with him! :)
