Time for me to check out the old shooting permissions now that the lighter nights are on their way, so out for a walk tonight with my big maglite ( ;) ) and see what's about

Chef, get the rabbit menu books out, I want to get a freezer draw filled this year :D

Just had a funny thought of a Maglite clamped to the top of a .22 instead of a scope, like a rabbit in the headlights or torching instead of lampin' lol.
They do have a maglite attachment for my scope, but it messes the balance a bit, I have the cree version so a good tight beam available

A quick walk around last years permission and saw just four bunnies, that was in about 500mtrs, then again it is still a bit chilly out there, couple more weeks and warmer weather and they'll be ready for the pot.

yesterday I got a head light torch and another RAC LED torch for the car, as well as an AA first aid kit for the car. Supplies for the car are pretty much sorted now I am happy to say.

Put some new felt on the shed roof, took stock of my food preps and finally managed to make a fire with a bow and drill! :)

It's good when that happens :D

Have you tried flint and steel yet?

So far today we have bought a new freezer for the shed, proper out-door one so will work in minus temps more efficiently and picked up a red-dot sight for onr of the rifles.

Afternoon tip run with old freezer :( not got the room or the inclination to bury it
