Hello from Florida

My name is Angela. I originate from Liverpool but live in Florida now. Interested in what other Brits make of the prepping mania that is sweeping the US. Been a prepper for years (just didn't know what it was called) because of the Florida weather but now things have taken a different turn as it looks like the economy is about to collapse.

We have a BOL already and lots of prepping done to get us through the worst possible scenario . If nothing happens, we have an excellent camp for back to nature holidays. I am now looking into getting a radio ham license in the US that will allow me to use the higher frequencies and contact people overseas.

Being a scouser, I don't like to pay too much for anything so Hubby and I have just started working on building a solar power unit that will power our whole house. We will have our own energy independence in a bit and no more power bills, yay!! Prepping is not just for nerds and weirdos after all

Hi ItsyBitsy and Wolfie. Thanks for throwing out the welcome mat Nice to be here among civilized people again.

There is something remarkably untrustworthy about the US government so I figured you guys would have been told a different story than the one they are shoving down our throats over here. We'll see; but our glorious leader, King OBummer, is apparently all set to rule in a totalitarian fashion Getting prepped for the worst (just in case).

Tough to prep when you are not native I find. Currently prepping for the close family but my medium term plan is to prep for the slightly larger family. Not sure how to include the overseas ones though . Having said that, they are more likely the ones to be worrying about us!
