Doulton/Berky Filters

I changed my Royal Doulton filter candle (we have a HIP setup). On the way to the dustbin I dropped the old one. I thought you inquisitive people might like to see what is inside.



There is the outer filtering porous ceramic body and a separate internal carbon sleeve. Flow is from the outside in and exit through the spigot.

The British Berkefeld gravity filters use the same candle with an extended spigot to mount them in the container.
