Getting it together

Post by hobo »

I've been running a seed swap coffee morning for the last 2 months with the intention of weeding out like minds and building a local 'lifeboat' community.
This is now taking off - there's 6 of us so far and as well as sitting around cafes, we've started an online forum to discuss, amongst other things, skill sharing, food growing, energy solutions, health and fitness and traditional medicine.
Three of us have started to work together on projects such as an irrigation system on my allotment. We're also bartering skills and learning outdoor skills together.

This is the way forward, I believe.
