Its the best way. Good quality lifestyle at low cost. That goes with the prepping mentality. My first computer I made myself from parts my friend was throwing out.
Second hand is gold. without those computer parts I wouldn't have been able to start working online and wouldn't have built up my career (which promptly went south in the 2008 crash!)

I've got a few new things now, but only because I've never had em in the past and I was lucky enough to have some cash at the time they finally died, but only a washing machine, cooker, freezer, and a couple of other bits, apart from when I was married, they've always been 2nd hand or shall we just say recycled, same as the settees, dining table, beds, comps, and even alot of clothes are from EvilBay, if they're in good nick, clean and cheap I'll have em whether it's a fridge or a coat. I do draw the line at mattresses, pillows and shoes though, things like that.

charity shops are my favourite, have a Debra here in Guildford and they have some lovely stuff in there at times, got my one 2 seater couch from there, was almost new, only 9 months old and the owner died and it got donated to the charity shop

Just replying to say thanks and bumping these great tools/links for those that may not have seen them yet.
