Hiya, I'm quite new to Prepping apart from reading Lofty Wiseman's SAS book a few hundred times as a kid

I have a little interest in history which has made me aware that bad things can and do happen.
I now feel it is essential to have a family insurance policy which can cover a worst case scenario.

I'm in the process of acquiring one years supply of food for long term storage in Mylar bags as a backup to at least a years supply of what we normally eat.

But I really have a lot to think about:

Bugging in/out
Water supplies
Self defense
Medicines/First aid

Well, i'm glad to have found this place I was googling survival for weeks trying to glean some decent info from the net about urban scenarios but nothing, then once I found the keyword "Prepping" i found I AM NOT ALONE!

Just got to say thank you for some of the info I've found here, it's saved me an arm and a leg.
