It was a bangin' dinner I must admit. Loads of grub out there at the moment. Found two apple trees where I never saw them before! Blackberries are gonna be awesome this year. Perhaps i am operating at the extreme end, but there is lots of stuff IF we look. Easy way to start foraging, and it reconnects us to the Earth I think.

My life will change soon, income - wise, but that is not a bad thing, as I am looking for more TIME. I am also looking for more simplicity, and foraging will fit well with this situation.

Today I fished. I was fishing for small roach and dace, and I caught plenty( which was good as I was fishing for bait for the freezer for Piking in Winter). For those who do not fish, when catching small prey- fish there are usually predators close by!
Today there was. A nice Pike of about 4lb. There are LOTS of pike in the Soar of this size, so taking one is not a problem.
We will eating this with garden spuds, peas and beans. Pike is a bony old fish, but its nice Eating.
